News Partners
Get your content crawled and indexed the moment you publish — instead of waiting for us to find it on our own.
Normally, a search engine's spider discovers new pages by following links, which can take anywhere from hours to weeks. Vexel supports two ways to skip that wait and get priority crawling as soon as an article goes live — similar in spirit to how sites notify Google News.
Option 1 — Quick Start
Free · No signup · Fully automaticAnyone can use this right now, no registration required. Just send us your sitemap URL and we'll fetch it and priority-queue every article inside for crawling.
How to use it
GET https://vexel.cc/ping?sitemap=https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml
Call this whenever you publish new content — most CMSes (including WordPress) already maintain a sitemap for you automatically, so this is usually a one-line integration: just hit that URL from a hook that fires on publish, or on a schedule.
We understand both flat sitemaps and sitemap index files (the standard WordPress format, which lists several sub-sitemaps). If you send us an index, we automatically pull the most recent post-type sub-sitemaps rather than older pages/taxonomy sitemaps.
Response
{
"status": "ok",
"sitemap": "https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml",
"urls_found": 143,
"queued": 50
}
Up to 50 URLs get queued per call. Anything already queued in the last hour is automatically skipped, so it's safe to call this repeatedly.

Option 2 — Full Integration
Free · Requires registration · Featured on Top StoriesIf you want your headlines to actually appear on our Top Stories page (not just be crawlable via search), you'll need to register your site with us first and integrate a small signed ping on publish, so we receive the real article title along with the URL.
Sending a ping
POST https://vexel.cc/ping
Content-Type: application/json
X-Vexel-Site: https://yoursite.com
X-Vexel-Token: <signature, see below>
{
"url": "https://yoursite.com/2026/09/your-article/",
"title": "Your Article Headline"
}
Computing the signature
The token is an HMAC-SHA256 signature of the article URL, using your registered secret as the key, hex-encoded:
signature = HMAC_SHA256(key=your_secret, message=article_url).hexdigest()
Example in Python:
import hmac, hashlib
signature = hmac.new(
your_secret.encode(),
article_url.encode(),
hashlib.sha256
).hexdigest()
Response
{"status": "queued", "url": "https://yoursite.com/2026/09/your-article/"}
| Rate limit | None — ping as often as you publish |
|---|---|
| Auth required | Yes — HMAC signature with your registered secret |
| Shows in vexel.cc search results | Yes, priority crawled |
| Shows on the Top Stories page | Yes |
WordPress
If your site runs WordPress, this is typically added as a small mu-plugin that fires on publish_post, computing the signature and sending the ping automatically — no manual work needed once it's installed.
