Heads up: Apple only lets Safari default to five pre-approved search engines (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo, Ecosia) — there's currently no way for any website, including Vexel, to become Safari's actual default without a third-party extension. Here's the closest native alternative:
- Search once on VexelGo to vexel.cc, search for anything, and let the results page load.
- Bookmark the results pageSave it to your Favorites — this stores the search as a reusable link with your query embedded.
- Quick access from the address barPress Cmd+L, then use the down arrow to cycle through your saved search bookmarks — Vexel will appear if it's in an iCloud-synced folder.
For a genuine one-click default, search extensions like "Customize Search Engine" on the App Store let you set any site — including Vexel — as Safari's real default.
