Terms of Service
Last updated: 04/09/2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Vexel, a Private web search engine and related features (search, images, videos, Top Stories, and related tools) operated by Vexel Group ("Vexel," "we," "us"). By using Vexel, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Vexel is a search engine: it indexes publicly available content from across the web and returns results in response to your queries. Vexel also offers a number of related features, including:
- An AI assistant ("Dave") that can answer questions based on your search results
- Dedicated image and video search
- A "Top Stories" news feed, aggregating headlines from publishers who have chosen to integrate with Vexel
- A tool for submitting a URL for us to crawl
2. Third-Party Content
Vexel's search results, images, videos, and news headlines link to content hosted on third-party websites that we do not own, control, or operate. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or availability of that content. Clicking through to a result takes you to that site directly, subject to that site's own terms and privacy practices.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Vexel to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Vexel's systems
- Scrape or systematically extract search results at scale without our permission
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
4. No Warranty
Vexel is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that search results will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that the service will always be available.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vexel and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on any content found through it.
6. AI Assistant Disclaimer
The "Dave" AI assistant generates responses automatically based on your query and available search results. Its answers may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect, and should not be relied upon as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. Always verify important information independently.
7. Changes to the Service or These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Vexel after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.
